Wikki Tourists have survived the fight against relegation after they beat Gombe United 2-0 at the Elkanemi Sports Complex, Maiduguri in the remaining minutes of the rescheduled match day 38 NPFL game.

The game was called off last weekend after fracas erupted in the Pantami Stadium in Gombe. As at that time, Wikki tourists were already ahead by a lone goal.

The remainder of the game was played behind closed doors earlier today as Abubakar Lawal’s goal in the 36th minute made it 2-0 for the Bauchi Elephants and thereby confirming their safety.

With that win for Wikki Tourists, Shooting Stars have been relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL).

The Oluyole warriors are relegated alongside ABS FC, Gombe United and Remo Stars.
