The Nigeria Football Federation have revealed that players of the national team have received a massive cash boost after they were paid a win bonus of $5,000-a-man for the 2018 World Cup qualifier win over Zambia.
Nigeria defeated the Zambians 2-1 in Ndola courtesy of first half goals from Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho, while Collins Mbesuma scored the hosts consolatory goal.
And now, they have been paid according to NFF’s president Amaju Pinnick.
“I can confirm to you that the team have been paid the bonus for the Zambia match,” Pinnick said on Vanguard
“We are now looking at the appearance fees for the friendlies against Senegal and Togo.
The players will also be paid $5,000 each if they beat the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Uyo on June 10.
