Nigeria Professional Football League newcomers, Remo Stars, are beginning to taste the wrath of the Nigerian top-flight as they lost yet again in a Matchday seven fixture against visiting Niger Tornadoes.
The Sagamu based Remo Stars are only returning home after losing 1-0 to Akwa United on Matchday six, a win which was Akwa’s first of the season, to try to get back to winning ways, only to record the same scoreline, this time in favour of the away side.
The only goal of the game came in the 21st minute, courtesy of Chidiebere Ajoku. Remo Stars missed a number of chances before and after the goal but the visitors, Niger Tornadoes fought hard to get maximum points and that they got at the blast of the final whistle.
Remo Stars now move to the bottom of the league table with six points from a possible 21. This is a second consecutive 1-0 loss scoreline for coach Daniel Ogunmodede who only replaced Nduka Ugbade last week.
Remo Stars are in their first nigerian topflight football campaign and will try not to go the way Ikorodu United did last season.
