Head Coach of Kano Pillars, Mohammed Babaganaru has blamed his team’s Glo Nigeria Professional Football League Week 24 1-0 loss on the slippery Enyimba International Stadium’s pitch.

Many have complained about the bad state of the Enyimba pitch and how clumsy it made players perform while on the ball, and Babaganaru has decided to capitalize on the criticism stating that it disrupted his team’s passing game.

“We play on an artificial pitch (in Kano) and this pitch was slippery and it did not allow us to play my passing game. I did not enjoy the game. It certainly affected us,” complained Babaganaru after the match.

“Otherwise, it will always be tough game against Enyimba. Enyimba took their chance, we also had our chances, but we did not utilise ours.”

Enyimba got ahead in the 28th minute through a Ifeanyi George’s goal from the penalty spot and the match ended with the Elephants as victors.
