Amaju Pinnick, president of the Nigeria Football Federations (NFF), is confident that the Super Eagles can win the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Pinnick believes that the amount of preparation going into next year’s showpiece will only go well for the West African nation, as they aim to become the first team from the Africa to reach the semifinal stage of said competition.
Speaking at the Federation’s Annual General Assembly (AGA) in Jos on Thursday, Pinnick expressed the country’s lofty ambitions.
“Our highest achievement is the qualification for the World Cup. Secondly, the preparations for World Cup have commenced in earnest as compared to the previous years,” he is quoted as saying by Vanguard.
“With the kind of preparations we are putting in place, I think we can win the World Cup,” he concluded.
