Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan Technical Adviser Fatai Amoo has attributed the heavy loss to Akwa United in the Aiteo Cup to fatigue.

The Oluyole Warriors lost 5-1 to the Promise Keepers in the round of 16 game of the Aiteo Cup that was played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Wednesday.

The former Olympic team assistant coach said his wards must have been too tired and in bad shape following stressful and tedious top-flight trips to Maiduguri and Lokoja before their away Aiteo Cup tie at Akwa United.

“I actually wanted us to win the Aiteo Cup clash against Akwa United but something told me that it would be too tough. Akwa United are a solid side and you must ne 100 percent fresh and physically fit to confront the side in a competitive match. “He told Supersport

“I’m sure fatigue would have taken its toll on the players considering the stressful and tedious trips to Maiduguri and Lokoja respectively for the league matches. I cannot comprehend the scoreline but I know that if the players had been fresh, the outcome would not have been as catastrophic. ” the former Sunshine Stars Coach concluded.
