Nigeria national team head coach Gernot Rohr has requested the Super Eagles play a friendly with the Togolese national team few days to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against South Africa in June.

The game was reportedly confirmed and to be played in Paris, but the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have not given a go-ahead on it yet, according to a top official in Nigeria football governing body.

“There was a request from Gernot Rohr to play a friendly against Togo during the training camp in France,” a high-ranking NFF official told All Nigeria Soccer.

“They are supposed to return to Nigeria on June 1. We will work out the modalities if it is approved by the Nigeria Football Federation.”
