Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has been named Leicester City’s Young Player of the Season at the awards night on Monday.

Ndidi, who made the move to the Foxes from Belgian club KRC Genk in January for £17 million, won the award after successfully breaking into the first team with brilliant performances for the former Premier League champions.

The Nath Boys Academy product has played in 21 games since moving to the King Power, including four in the Champions League, where he helped the King Power Stadium outfit see off Sevilla in the round of 16.

The 20-year-old continued with his trademark thunderbolt strikes scoring hist first goal against Derby County in the FA Cup in February. He scored another long-range stunner against Stoke City in the Premier League.

Goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was voted Player of the Season for Leicester.
