Liverpool and Three Lions legend Jamie Carragher has lauded the rise of Super Eagles winger at Chelsea and praised manager Antonio Conte’s contributions in the improvment of players at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea FC have been on a high with scintillating performances since the beginning of the 2016/17 league season, making it to the semis of the FA Cup and remaining at the top of the Premier League table for more than half of the league calendar.

Moses has been a vital part of Conte’s squad since sealing his place in the first team after series of loan spells out of Stamford Bridge to Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham under previous managers.

The 26-year-old has been rewarded with a two-year extension to his contract with the Blues and has played in 31 games, scoring four times with three assists in all competition.

Former Liverpool captain, Carragher, is amazed at Moses’ quick adaptability under Italian tactician, Conte and praised his development.

“Another thing you want a manager to do is improve players — and look at Victor Moses. I never expected him to have a future at Chelsea,” Carragher wrote on Daily Mail.

“Given he had been out on loan so much, and the levels he has shown have taken me by complete surprise. He has been excellent in his new role of right wing back.”

The Kaduna-born winger has been released from the Super Eagle camp in London ahead Nigeria’s friendlies against Senegal and Burkina Faso because of injury and will now return to Chelsea..
