Nigeria international Chinedu “Edu” Obasi bagged a brace on his official debut for his new club side, Shenzhen FC in a 6-0 win over Dalian Transcendence in a Jia League game on Sunday.

It was the opening day in the second tier of the Chinese league, and the former Schalke 04 and Hoffenheim player scored his first and his team’s second goal in the 32nd minute before completing his brace to put Shenzhen 3 goals up five minutes into the second half.

A hat-trick for Harold Preciado and a goal for Cameroon’s Aboubakar Oumarou completed the scoring for Shenzhen, who are managed by former Ivory Coast coach Sven Goran Eriksson.
