Contrary to earlier pre-AFCON fears that the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s men senior national team, will slide down without an AFCON participation, the Super Eagles have actually appreciated and even been ranked above countries like Algeria, Ivory Coast and Ghana which took part in the last continental football competition.

The rankings for February, released this week shows Nigeria as the 41st football playing country amassing 686.32 points as against 619 last month.
