In a bid to promote the Nigeria National League (NNL), the NNL board has gotten for the league a sponsorship deal with StarTimes.

The Nigerian second tier league which will commence in the third week of March is set to be televised across the continent thanks to the sponsorship package from StarTimes.

The fast emerging pay as you watch television which partners with Nigeria’s state-owned TV, NTA, sealed a three year deal with the NNL going into the 2017 season. The China-based television company added the Nigerian second tier to a number of African top flight leagues they are currently airing including the Ghana Premier league and the Tanzanian league.

The opening rounds of matches in the NNL slated for March 17, 2017 will see Adamawa United face Yobe Desert Stars in the first game of the round.
