2014 CHAN player of the tournament, Chrisantus Ejike Uzoenyi has joined South African Premier Soccer League side, Bidvest Wits.
The 28 year old ran out of contract, when his former club and CAF Champions League winners, Mamelodi Sundowns turned down a chance to resign him at the expiration of his contract early this year.
In a tweet from bidvest wits, the club announced the capture of the pacy winger, and believes he will strengthen the team’s attacking force.
Rangers International FC of Enugu has also congratulated their former player, Uzoenyi via Twitter on his new contract and also wish him well.
Ejike Uzoenyi joined Mamelodi Sundowns after a successful CHAN outing in South Africa in 2014 where he helped nigeria to a third place finish and also won the player of the tournament, under the tutelage of the late Stephen Keshi.
