Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit, Ikorodu United have added former Super Eagles legend Peter Rufai to their coaching crew as goalkeeper trainer.

Rufai, who started his goalkeeping career with another Lagos club Stationery Stores in the 80’s, competed professionally in Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain, in a senior career that lasted twenty years and represented Nigeria in two World Cups and as many Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

The Lagos-born coach, who’s fondly called Dodo Mayana, currently holds a UEFA B Licence and will be a quality addition to the Oga Boys, who are looking to gain promotion back to the top flight league after relegating last season alongside Giwa FC, Warri Wolves and Heartland FC.

Ikorodu United also bolstered the squad with retired referee Gabriel Adigwe, who was appointed as the new General Manager of the club.
