Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has confirmed Ado Den Haag right back Tyrone Ebuehi will be available for  Nigeria’s friendly against Senegal in March.


The 20 -year-old player of mixed Nigerian-Dutch parentage was invited by Rohr to star in the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Algeria, but Ebuehi turned it down citing that he was trying to be focused on club football.

Rohr said on Tuesday that he has spoked with the lad’s parents and agents. He said this at his at his first press conference, held yesterday.

Commenting on the CAF player of the year awards, he’s optimistic a Nigerian will be nominated for the awards next year.

“I’m sure next year, a Nigerian will be CAF player of the year nominee(top 3). Victor Moses is having a good year.” Rohr said.

The Super Eagles Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr also confirmed he’ll be at AFCON 2017 to watch Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier’s opponents especially Cameroon.
