Super Eagles defender Godfrey Oboabona has advised against undermining the national team of Swaziland ahead of Friday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier match.
Coach Sunday Oliseh and his team will fly to Swaziland on Thursday to face the Isihlangu Somnikati on Friday for the first leg of the encounter that is one of the phases to qualify for Russia 2018.
Rizespor defender Oboabona has warned his team mates and fans to repect Swaziland but admits that they are “not a big footballing nation.”
“Swaziland are not a big footballing nation, but that does not mean we don’t have to respect them,” said Oboabona.
“They will be looking to beat us and make a name for themselves and that is the reason we must approach the game with caution.
“We can’t afford to miss out on the World Cup after our failure to qualify for the last Africa Cup of Nations..”
