Players of the Super Eagles of Nigeria are to no longer receive their match bonuses by cash from next month, African Football reports.

The players have been reportedly advised to open accounts with a bank based in Nigeria where their bonuses will be forwarded to after matches for the country.

“We have been asked to open foreign currency accounts with a bank where our bonuses will now be paid,” a player informed

This directive comes on the heels of a new financial policy pertaining to foreign currencies adopted by the new government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

This development is contained in the players’ code of conduct by the NFF..
