The Nigeria Football Federation have endorsed former Nigeria international, Chief Olusegun Patrick Odegbami as the country’s candidate for FIFA presidency at the upcoming FIFA elections.
Also in the race was former Abia state governor, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu, but Odegbami has become the sole aspirant from Nigeria following the endorsement of the NFF on Friday.
The ex-international revealed he had not received an update concerning the endorsement while speaking with Complete Sports, but the chances of the truth are definitely high.
“I have only been hearing it, many people have been calling to ask but I have not been called officially from the FA but I hope it is true,” Odegbami said.
The election is expected to be held on February 26 in Switzerland.
