Super Eagles and Celtic FC defender Efetobore “Efe” Ambrose Emuobo has gained a call-up from Coach Sunday Oliseh to replaced injured Kenneth Joasiah Omeruo for the friendly matches to be played against DR Congo and Cameroon in October.
Ambrose, who has fallen out of favour since under the reign of Stephen Keshi and also during Oliseh’s first 2 matches, has his image to redeem if he is to get another call-up to represent Nigeria.
Omeruo. however, got injured during a Turkish Lig 1 game on Sunday. His Turkish side, Kasımpaşa, drew 1-1 with Godfrey Oboabona’s Rizespor.
The loanee from Chelsea has been a regular starter for the Super Eagles since making his debut for the senior team in 2013..
