Head Coach of the Golden Eaglets Emmanuel Amuneke has released a 21-man list of youngsters to represent Nigeria at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup to be hosted in Chile between October 17 and November 8.
The list consist of of the regular suspects like team captain Kelechi Nwakali, Victor Osimhen, defender Halilu Lukman, midfielder Kingsley Michael and Ebere Osinachi.
Amuneke, while speaking with thenff.com, expressed confidence in his boys and promises to deliver the goods in Chile with them.
“The World Cup is here and we have picked the best players for this assignment to represent our country,” said the former African Footballer of the Year.
“We have brought in new players to add value to the team that secured the ticket for Chile at the last African U-17 Nations Cup in Niger Republic and we believe this crop of players would give their best in Chile, as we are the defending champions.”
The newly added legs are defenders David Enogela, Ibe Tobechukwu and Ejike Ikwu. Funsho Bamgboye, Chukwudi Agor, Joel Osikel, Edidiong Essien and Udochukwu Anumudu.

The Eaglets will play the opening match of the FIFA competition with USA on October 17 at the Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos in Santiago. Other Group A matches will be played against hosts Chile and Croatia on October 20 and 23 respectively.
