Enugu Rangers defender Matthew Etim has been called up as replacement for injured Solomon Kwambe ahead of the second leg of the 2016 Chan qualification against Burkina Faso this weekend.
Kwambe of Warri Wolves got injured during the first leg of the encounter with the Les Etalons when the CHAN Eagles won 2-0 in Port Harcourt.
“Solomon Kwambe has had to pull out of the trip to Burkina Faso unfortunately due to injury. He will be replaced by Rangers defender, Matthew Etim,” Super Eagles spokesman, Toyin Ibitoye, told Super Sport on Monday.
The story was officially broken on twitter by the official handle of the Super Eagles:
Just in: @EnuguRangersFC defender Etim Matthew has been called up to camp as back up to injured @Warri_Wolves defender Solomon Kwambe.
