The captain of the Tanzania national football team, Nadir Haroub has talked about the confidence in the Taifa Stars’ camp ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria slated for Saturday, September 5 at the Dar es Salaam stadium.
The Tanzanians returned home from training camp in Turkey yesterday, and the captain while speaking to the Tanzania Football Federation official website believes that the over-seas camp have increased their chances of claiming victory against the Super Eagles.
The 33-year-old right back also revealed that all players in camp presently are fit and gearing to go except Abdi Banda who is injured.
“With the exception of Abdi Banda, who is injured, all other players are fit and I believe whoever gets a chance in the match against Nigeria will do well,” Haroub told tff.or.tz
The Taifa Stars coach Mkwasa also talked about how pleased he is with the performance of the team in the game against Libya and during the training sessions in Turkey.
The Super Eagles are expected to fly out of the country by 3:00pm on Thursday to arrive in Dar es Salaam ahead of the much anticipated encounter..
