The Harmony Warriors were beaten 1-0 at the Sani Abacha stadium yesterday in a very interesting match that saw Rabiu Ali of Pillars take the lead for his team in the 7th minute of the game.

Abubakar, the first team defender who dons the number 2 jersey for the Harmony Warriors opined that the Masu Gida were very lucky to have gotten all 3 points regarding how hard his team mates fought to equalise till the last minute of the match.

“They (Kano Pillars) really were lucky yesterday. We (Kwara United) played our hearts out, tried to come back after that goal by Ali. I have to commend my team mates for not losing hope throughout the match,” Abubakar said.

“Pillars were also good defensively but they were lucky to have won. If they had not scored that early goal we would have maybe got a point or repeat what Nasarawa Utd did some weeks ago.”

The former ABS FC player also commented on Kwara United’s next league game against Abia Warriors and promised fans of the Ilorin-based club they will be victorious.

“I think the spirit we showed during the Pillars match and how we ended it is a good thing towards our next game in Ilorin against Abia Warriors.

“Abia Warriors is a good side but they’ll meet a better side on Sunday. Our fans should come and celebrate our win. I’m sure we will win Insha Allah,” the right back who is nicknamed after Dani Alves of Brazil concluded.

Kwara United are just a place and a point above relegation zone. They play Abia Warriors in Ilorin on Sunday..
