Manchester City coach Manuel Pellegrini says rising Nigerian starlet Kelechi Iheanacho still has a lot to learn in the game before he can become one of the club’s strikers.
Kelechi netted the match winner for City against Crystal Palace after coming in as an 89th minute substitute for Wilfried Bony.
However, the Chilean tactician maintained that the 18-year old is an important member of the team but still has a lot of improvement to do.
“Kelechi scored the goal and he had another chance. Kelechi is a very young player, he’s just 18 years old. He worked with the rest of the team all week,” said Pellegrini after the game.
“In front of him are Kun (Sergio Aguero) and (Wilfried) Bony who are very good players, but he is an important striker who still has a lot to improve.”
