Torino new signing and Super Eagles midfielder, Joel Obi has withdrawn from Saturday’s Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier game against Tanzania because he is not fully fit and just recovering from a muscle injury.

Joel Obi resumed full training for Torino on Friday but sources in the Italian club claim the midfielder has not fully regained match fitness.

The 24-year-old was invited by coach Sunday Oliseh as one of the 18 foreign-based players to tackle Tanzania on September 5 in Dar es Salaam.

Obi has also been dropped from list of players to play for Torino against Fiorentina in a Serie A game on Sunday..
