Coach Samson Siasia has described the draw for the second edition of the Africa U23 Cup of Nations which sees Nigeria pitted alongside Egypt, Algeria and Mali in Group B as a “tough group”.
Coach Siasia, whose team are getting battle ready for Burkina Faso in the semi finals of the ongoing All Africa Games, said all teams in the group have earned their spot for the finals and as such none of them is a push-over team.
“For now my concentration is on my semi final game, but I must confess that this group is tough, all the team’s in my group have a pedigree that can not be over looked, but I can assure Nigerians that we will pick one of the tickets for the football event of the Rio Olympic Games.”
Speaking further, he added that even though it is agreed that the group is tough one, he is sure of picking one of the tickets to Rio 2016 Olympic Games, as his boys play better when faced with tough oppositions.
He however appealed that his team should be moved into camp immediately after the All Africa Games so as to get new players he intends to add into his team in other to blend well with other players.
