Enyimba FC have been without their star striker Christian Obiozor since July because of a knee injury but he is now slated to return to full training with the squad this week.
Coach Kadiri Ikhana revealed that: “Obiozor will start training this week,” Ikhana told African Football.
It will be recalled that the former Enugu Rangers forward got injured shortly after joining Enyimba from Kano Pillars this season and was expected to make a return in September but he had to return to the injury list of the Aba Elephants.
However, Ikhana also disclosed the situation with his second striker, Mfon Udoh, and insists that the last season’s highest goalscorer is still struggling with fitness.
“Mfon is not fit for now, Nonso (Lala) is also not okay,” he said.
“Enyimba have shown they have the stuff even with as many as 10 players out..”
