Chairman of Giwa FC, Ambassador Chris Giwa has come out to debunk all reports that his club has announced the signing of Manu Garba as head coach of the Jos Elephants.

It was announced on Giwa FC’s supposed official twitter account that Manu Garba has been unveiled has new coach of the side on Thursday morning.

“Former U20 head coach Many Garba is now coach of Giwa FC. The gaffer was introduced to the team Wednesday evening,” as tweeted by @GiwaFCJos.

Ambassador Giwa denied the claim:
“I have not discussed about Manu Garba. I never told anybody or journalists about him let alone about us discussing to bring him to work with us,” Giwa told Goal.

“I’m the proprietor of the club and I have not held any discussion about him. I don’t know where this is coming from. Personally, I don’t believe in making noise about my team because I feel seeing is believing. If we have a new coach today – everyone will know.

“Reports like these are why i don’t like talk to the press about things I do because some journalists always want to preempt what has never happened,” he said..
