Manager of Stoke City, Mark Hughes, revealed during a pre-match conference yesterday that Nigeria international, Peter Odemwingie will be on the sidelines for half a month after suffering from a hamstring strain.

Odemwingie who played only 7 matches last season because he suffered from a knee ligament damage for most of the EPL season will not be seen in action for Stoke at Spurs on Saturday and at Norwich 7 days after.

“Unfortunately Peter has got a hamstring strain and is likely to miss the next couple of weeks,” Mark Hughes said at a press conference.

“It’s disappointing for him because he has worked tremendously hard throughout pre-season.” Hughes added.
