Nigeria international Emem Samuel Eduok has revealed that he has to justify his call-up to the Super Eagles of Nigeria at next months Africa Cup of Nations qualifier game against Tanzania.

The Espérance of Tunisia striker is one of the 18 foreign-based players invited by coach Sunday Oliseh alongside six home-based players who all play in the Nigeria Professional Football League.

“I’m preparing very well because I have to justify my call-up to the national team,” he told Punch.

“Nigeria is blessed with lots of talented players and being selected among these players is a great honour.

“So, I am eagerly looking forward to putting up a good performance in Dar es Salam,” he concluded.

Eduok joined Espérance this year and has scored 7 goals in 13 appearances for the Tunisia giants.

The 21-year-old made his debut for the country and scored in a friendly against Ghana U-23 team in the first ever match played at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, also called the Nest of Champions..
