Nigeria national women team, Super Falcons thrashed Nigeria Women Football League side, Katsina Spotlight Queens 7-0 on Thursday in a preparatory match ahead of the 11th All-Africa Games holding in Congo Brazzaville.
The friendly match played on the pitch of the FIFA Goal Project, National Stadium, Abuja saw six different goal scorers for the Falcons. Alheri Ayuba got a brace, while Alaba Adenusi Ginika Ikeh, Anam Imo, Mercy Amanza and Chinwe Ihezuo all got a goal each.
Coach of the Super Falcons, Christopher Danjuma spoke to the press after the game:
“Today’s match was satisfactory because it is not about the goal scoring of the game, but about the tactical approach.
“Envisaging the type of teams and games we will be playing in our group in Congo, I should say I am satisfied with what I saw today.
“Every time we train, we keep working on all areas, and we work on goal scoring and our reactions,’’ he said..”
