Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, who is on loan at Al Ain from Fenerbahce bagged a brace to help his club win the UAE Super Cup by 4-2 against Al Nasr on Saturday.
The 28-year old striker scored the opener 4 minutes from kick off to put Al Ain ahead and doubled the lead 14 minutes after. Both goals were scored from close range.
The match which took place at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi eventually finished 4-2 in favour of Al Ain as they lifted the Super Cup for the 5th time in 10 years.
Emenike will be looking to perform even better for the Arabian club filling the shoes left behind by Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan and hoping to be recalled into the Super Eagles squad under the tutelage of new coach of the national team, Sunday Oliseh.
The goal poacher who played as a youth for Delta Force of Asaba will be in action for Al Ain again against Al Dhafra on Friday when the UAE league kicks off.
